Fic of the Day: Original The Biker story. I really need a name for it. He meets one of his fellow boarders under unusual circumstances.

And a bit of Ick for you. The two cats? They filled up the litterbox. In a NIGHT. I cleaned the box out and went to bed and next day, the cats were sprawled out in their usual lazy puddles.

“Ah,” they seemed to say. “Excellent. You’re awake. We have a little job for you, when you have a moment.”

My nose was way ahead of them.

“Phew!” I said. “Y’all sure are stinky today. I’ll just-WHAAAH!”

There wasn’t any loose litter in the box and two little happenings outside the box. No way just two cats could produce that much in just one night. I think they threw a party and didn’t tell me.

I really need to think of a title for this story. It's not really 'The Biker story' even though he's the one I keep writing about. He only gets some mention this time.

Fic of the Day: Original

Second day of dragging myself out of bed. I don't know why I'm so tired. I've only had a half week to deal with instead of the whole week everybody else at work has. But I'm still slipping off into the stares even while I sit here. I can sleep in tomorrow though. If I get everything done tonight that I didn't finish last night.

More of the Biker. He finally told somebody about being haunted by the black dog, but his contacts are few and not much help.

Fic of the early morning: Original

I can't sleep! So I figured I'd write more about the Biker and his ghost dog. Well, maybe it's a ghost. It's definitely haunting him. I probably shouldn't post anything this late/early, but I have to go to work in a few hours, so I'll try to sleep again.

I love it when the mood icon is really on the mark.

Fic of the Day: Original It's more about the Biker from my last original ficlet. I wrote it awhile back and it fit the prompt, so there ya have it.

It's been a day. I woke up at 3 am with chattering teeth. I couldn't tell if the house was cold or I was, but the cats were huddled up to me, so it either was really cold or they were trying to save my life by keeping me warm. It wasn't working though, so I hauled my shaking, shivering self to the tub and scalded myself bright pink to warm up again. After that I felt better, so I went back to bed.

Next thing you know, I'm sweating buckets and coughing my lungs inside out. I can't win. Then, since I'm a glutton for punishment, I dragged my shakey, sweaty carcass into work. Hoooph. The kids were bonkers today! Maybe it's a change in the air pressure, maybe it's the varying degrees of illness they're carrying themselves, perhaps they merely sensed my weakness, but they were NUTS.*

Now I'm home, and I've had another hot soak and another spell of chest-tearing coughing. I'm hungry but I have no appetite. I can hear a gurgling down in my chest like fluids draining through old pipes. And I can't help but notice how nice and warm my laptop is. Perhaps I'll cuddle it a bit longer.

*Heh. I misspelled that as 'BUTS' the first time. A few of them were that, too.

Fic of the Day: It's from an original story of mine. It's about an old farm that's been turned into a boarding house, and the things that happen when a sinkhole on the property opens up into a faerie realm. Before any of that happened though, one of the boarders has his own problems.

I don't usually use my own stuff for [info]31_days but I felt like writing some on the old story.
